Xin Min...came to my house and asked me to take a picture for him. I walked out and he and Susan were staring at the Eviction Notice on the door of the young woman, a student living in the duplex.
Susan was standing there smiling and realized she was in the foreground, and quickly moved.

Dear Mr. Liu:I have been retained by Paul Dressler in reference to the reckless conduct exhibited by you towards him arising from his use and occupancy of real estate property you own located at 1412 SW 24th Street, Moore, OK 73170. Please have the liability insurance carrier contact me in reference to our claim.
At this time, our minimum claim for the negligence you exhibited is as follows:
1. Attorney fee to Fred J. Shaffer: Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000,00).
2. Bonding fee to Sooner Bail Bonds: Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00).
3. Lost commissions: Four Hundred Fifty ($450.00).
4. Four (4) weeks in a hotel awaiting new housing: Six Hundred Forty Dollars ($640.00).
5. Libel and embarrassment arising from unlawful service of Writ of Assistance, filing of the dismissed charge, unlawful arrest, incarceration in the Cleveland County Detention Center: Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).
Mr. Dressler feels that his damages far exceed Fifteen Thousand, Five Hundred Ninety Dollars ($15,590.00), but at this point, he wishes to avoid further litigation and contact with you.
To refresh your memory regards to your negligence, you directed law enforcement to immediately remove Mr. Dressler on September 12, 2006, and changed the locks. Under Oklahoma law, you were negligent in that Mr. Dressler was entitled to forty-eight (48) hours and could have posted a bond. You also negligently led Mr. Dressler to believe that you would accept payment of rent in order to obtain his property and move back into the residence, again, reckless disregard to Mr. Dressler’s rights under the Forcible Entry and Detainer statutes of Title 12. Both the Cleveland County deputy and the Moore police officer advised you that this was a civil matter. Both officers refused to sign a criminal charge, the District Attorney declined charges, and you negligently insisted on a felony Burglary II charge being filed – more negligent handling of a civil problem.
The prompt notification of your liability insurance carrier of our negligence claim will expedite the resolution of this matter.

Here are the move-in issues concerning the duplex, I'm here working all day, so just a night
before notice is OK, but I'm flexible.

3. Garage door opener has an electrical short in the switch, power on and then won’t open
4. Mow the grass – 1-foot high - large black widow spiders are nesting
5. Freon in A/C unit just blows coolish air in the hot part of the day
6. Outside entry light has no bulb or glass fixture

I don't have any mortgage, so no such worries.
I think it will take legislative action of Oklahoma State to get any tax abatement, but then again, since budgets of local governments depend on such taxes, that will be a long, long shot.

And then, there are predatory buyers who keep bombarding me with offers, using text messages or direct calls, to buy my rental houses or even primary residence, thinking that they can take advantage of the situation.
Today, I could not take it any longer and replied to the message: "Are you willing to take an offer on..." with this: "Yes, for a million dollars."
These people always want to take you for a ride. I heard that if you bite, their offer will be about half of the fair market value of your house, if you are lucky.
To me, if they want to buy a house, then go to multiple listing, so why bother with me?

Also in today's Chinese language news, they have also banned 3M and Honeywell, two major US mask manufacturers, from exporting masks made by their factories in China to the US. The US is considering legal action against China, including taking up the issue at the European Human Rights Court and the UN.

Hey, Shen Min my passport is up next month..how is the best way to get another? How many tenants have a passport...ahhaah
Next, Smoke Detectors and the stove is not fixed cannot boil water, shuts off on both fronts burners...An hour job of boiling a roast before putting into the stew, took 2.3 hrs. had to switch back and forth from the 2-front burners. This is the first time I cooked since Moni was here.
Both are needed in the house.
